Are you or your team needing some support with some of the tricky issues that come up in counselling?
I have extensive experience with complex and overlapping problems like poverty, housing, mental health, and addictions.
Providing clinical supervision and consultation since 2013, I am an approved clinical supervisor, and was recently also designated as a “supervisor of supervisors”, qualified to oversee supervisors in training for the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
I have supervised and trained 10+ masters counselling students who went on to have successful careers – including Lara Ellison, Yasmin Hajian, Renu Parmar, Nicole Marcia, and Deanna Rogers.
I am regularly contracted by counselling professionals and counselling teams to consult with them about their work with clients.
I have supported clinical teams with training and supervision, including the shíshálh First Nation’s counselling staff in Sechelt BC, and the Empower Simcoe Housing First team in Ontario.
I had a lot of fun being a mental health consultant for a young adult fiction novel, and for a national course by the Canadian Mental Health Association on bullying in the workplace.
